meeche_whiteMeeche White is the former CEO and co-founder of the National Ability Center. Founded in 1985 the Center conducted 45 ski lessons for children and adults with disabilities and had a mere budget of $3,500 and now boasts over 20,000 lessons in a wide variety of year-round programs. Meeche served as the NAC leader for twenty-three years. Her vast experience includes international exchanges and disabled sports program development in Spain, Italy, Thailand, Chile, Korea and Indonesia.

Meeche has been active with Disabled Sports USA for over twenty-five years as well numerous other community organizations. She was selected as Park City Citizen of the Year in 1988 and received the Governor’s Utah Woman of Achievement Award in 1993. She was honored as an Unsung Hero of Compassion by the Dali Lama in 2009 and this year was selected as one of Utah’s, twenty most influential people. She also served as the ADA Manager for the 2002 Winter Olympic and Paralympic games for the Salt Lake Organizing Committee.
