One very important way you can support making sports available to people with disabilities is volunteering with your local chapter. With over 100 chapters across the country, there is a good chance one is in the vicinity. Chapters are frequently looking for volunteer support in many different capacities: from helping acting as event staff (registering participants, assisting with event set up and break down, supporting individual wounded warriors during event) to providing transportation to/from events, marketing events, soliciting event sponsors, setting up adaptive equipment at events as well as ongoing office needs.
